Grayhound Recordings was launched in 1998 by Garth as an avenue for the bass-heavy dance tracks long-pioneered by his Wicked Sound System in San Francisco. Taking as icon the restored '47 Greyhound bus that Wicked used for touring, he launched Grayhound.
The label has gone on to achieve cult status in its relentless support of leftfield local producers that other labels have ignored at their peril... Wicked, Rocket, Mirror Boys, Nectar, Stranger, Michoacan and many others have debuted on the Hound.
Two of Garth's songs on Grayhound have been featured in movies (Sony Pictures' Groove & Gus Van Sant's Speedway Junky) and much of the catalogue has been licensed to high profile DJ mix CDs the world over including these...
